Join the DC Design House Volunteers
Saturday, April 19th to Sunday, May 11th, 2008
Sharon Luther (CLAS 1985) would like you to support her good friend and favorite designer, Craig Henson, at the DC Design House, for a good cause. Fifteen of the area's top designers are hard at work transforming 3014 P Street NW, Washington, DC into the DC Design House to benefit Children's Hospital. When it opens to the public April 19 through May 11, 2008 our group of volunteers will be receiving guests and showing the house. Doors open Tuesdays through Fridays 10 AM to 3 PM, Saturdays and Sundays 12 noon to 5 PM.
DC Design House needs volunteers to sell tickets, greet visitors, and docent rooms within the house. We want the docents to share information about the designers, the designer's inspiration and concept for each room, and highlight various items for sale in each room. We will have information sheets from each designer for this purpose.
Volunteer shifts will be ~3 hours each: either 10-1, 1-3, or 12-3, 3-5:30 See attached schedule for sign up. Several special events are scheduled and volunteers are needed for those evenings. We have a lot of shifts to fill, so feel free to tell a friend and sign up to work together.
