Nora's Garden
In Loving Memory of Nora Hemphill
UVa Class of 2009
Please visit Nora's Garden via the website or at George Mason High School in Falls Church, VA. The memorial garden is being created to honor the memory of Nora Hemphill, UVA Class of 2009. Nora was an enthusiastic member of University Democrats, the McIntire Women's Business Forum, Best Buddies and FORCE (Fighting Overcoming and Resisting Cancer Everywhere). As special-events chairman for FORCE, she planned the group's annual a cappella concert and served as mistress of ceremonies. She died in May 2006, after a three year struggle with liver cancer. She raised thousands of dollars for cancer research before her untimely death.
