National Mall

The 38th Annual Smithsonian Kite Festival will be held on the
National Mall as part of the National Cherry Blossom Festival
(rain date Sunday, March 28). This year's theme is "Kites Around
the World" and the Kite Festival Advisory Committee needs
volunteers!
The UVA Club of Washington has volunteered to assist and duties
will range from set-up and break-down of the fields to
registration and scoring. All volunteers are invited to a
post-festival reception to take place in the Ripley Center
starting at 6 p.m.
Bring your friends and family to volunteer or to fly a kite!
DIRECTIONS & DETAILS: Meet at corner of 7th & Jefferson Drive,
SE near the Air & Space Museum. Wear orange and blue!
