Help protect the trees and wildlife habitats of Tuckahoe Park in Arlington, VA by removing invasive species. If you have your own garden gloves and tools, please bring them along. Some tools will be provided. Be sure to come dressed for work, wear long pants, long sleeves, and perhaps a hat. You may also want to bring along a reusable water bottle and sunscreen. The park site leader, Mary, will meet you there to give an orientation and tour of the work already done by Tuckahoe Elementary Students before we head out to work.
Meet in the circle in front of Tuckahoe Elementary (6550 26th St N Arlington VA) at 10:00am. You can park along Sycamore Street or in the school parking lot. This meeting place is about a 15 minute walk from the East Falls Church Metro. To get there from the metro station, walk north on N Sycamore Street toward Washington Blvd. continue walking on N Sycamore for about .5 miles then take a left onto 26th st. The school is on your left.
