An Outing to the Portrait Gallery with Horton's Kids!
Sunday, April 18, 2010
12 PM to 4 PM
National Portrait Gallery
800 F Street Northwest
Washington, DC 20004
Join the UVa Club for an afternoon of fun, as we take children from the charity Horton’s kids to visit the Portrait Gallery downtown!
Volunteers are needed to help with a field trip to the Portrait Gallery sponsored by Horton’s Kids, a Washington, DC-based nonprofit.Volunteers should meet at noon on April 18, at the Capitol South metro station and from that location, all will travel via bus to pick up the children. From there we will ride to the museum and spend from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the museum. We'll reconvene around 3:00 p.m., get the kids home around 3:30 p.m., and get the volunteers back to Capital South around 4p.m.
There will be an estimated 50 plus children in attendance, so there is a great need for your support. Ideally we’d love to have 30 volunteers.
Horton’s Kids is a charitable organization dedicated to enriching the lives of youth living in Anacostia
