Due to the popularity of rafting this time of year, the timeslot we wanted sold out quickly. Therefore, we had to book the 8:30am trip. The good news is that lunch is included and you will have plenty of time to enjoy the Potomac Family Festival or any other activities you have planned for the day.

That said, we now have all the details and prices for the trip. We are able to offer you the choice of whitewater rafting or sit-on-top kayaking. If you have your own whitewater kayak, you can bring that along, too. The trip is about 3 1/2 hours long and includes lunch. A vegetarian lunch option is available.

As an added bonus, the outfitter is a sponsor of the Potomac River Family Festival and Great Brunswick River Race, featuring a river race, crafters, amusement rides, pony rides, bike rentals, children's hands on displays and programs, fly-fishing and tying, river safety demonstrations and door prizes. You can stick around after rafting and make it a great all-day outing.

The river shuttle departs from the outfitter between 8:30 and 9:00, and the outfitter is about an hour away. If you would like to carpool, we will depart from the UVA Northern Virginia Center in Falls Church at 7:20 AM. Please click here to read the directions and important information about how to dress.

• Children (16 and Under) of UVA Club Members - $46
• Children (16 and Under) of Non-Members - $51

• Adult UVA Club Members - $59

• Children (Ages 12 to 16) of UVA Club Members - $49
• Children (Ages 12 to 16) of Non-Members - $54
• Bring your own kayak - Possibly free, but maybe a small charge for the shuttle and lunch.
