Seven Springs' 31 slopes and trails, 9 lifts, 750-foot vertical drop (3000-foot total elevation), and largest snow-making system in the world puts all the local mountains to shame. Some people go just for the equally impressive resort whose spa, pool, game rooms, bowling alley, shops, bars, and clubs make it great for the whole family.

Transportation
To accommodate the variation in individuals' plans, we will not have a bus. Instead, we will caravan in groups based on a few questions we would like you to answer below. We will meet at the UVA/VT Northern Virginia Center by the West Falls Church Metro station.

Trip Schedule
Our lift tickets are valid from 1pm until 10:30pm on Saturday. We plan to arrive by noon so that we have time eat lunch and get rental equipment. While you will be free to ski with whomever you'd like, a rendezvous for dinner to help you keep up with the group. Departure times are up to you and your carpool.

7:30am - Meet at the UVA/VT Northern Virginia Center
12:00pm - Obtain and distribute lift tickets, eat lunch, obtain rental equipment
1:00pm - Begin skiing
6:00pm - Meet for dinner in the lodge
By preference - Finish skiing, return equipment, enjoy nightlife, check into hotel, return to DC

Lodging
If you plan to stay overnight in our room block, you MUST tell the Holiday Inn that you are with the UVA Club of Washington. There is no reservation code. We have had reports that some of the desk clerks give bad information, so if you have any trouble getting a room or the type of room you'd prefer, ask for Vera. She is usually available during mid-day hours.

Check in starts at 3pm. Most of us will check in after skiing or after taking advantage of the resort's nightlife.

Sunday
Some people have expressed interest in skiing on Sunday as well. We would need our entire group to ski on Sunday in order to extend the group discount, so we do not expect to do so. You may, however, purchase lift tickets on your own on Sunday, and ski as long as you would like.

Your Preferences
If you register for the trip, please also e-mail skitrip@dchoos.org with the following information so that we can best accommodate everyone in the group.

    Skiing:
  1. Will you be renting equipment? (please specify skis or a snowboard)
  2. Will you be taking a group lesson?

    Transportation:
  3. Are you willing and able to drive in the caravan?
  4. How many people can you take (including you)?
  5. Can your vehicle accommodate skis?

    Overnight:
  6. Do you plan to stay overnight?
  7. Do you plan to ski on Sunday?
  8. Do you plan to partake in the nightlife at the resort?
  9. Have you booked a room at the Holiday Inn?
  10. Do you want us to try to match you with a roommate? (please specify gender preferences)

Email Caroline and Mark at skitrip@dchoos.org for more information.
