Spring weather has finally made its way to Washington, DC, and in an effort to enjoy the cool spring breezes and fresh air before Virginia humidity lands in our area, now is the opportunity join your fellow Wahoos on a hike through some of Virginia's best hills and mountains.
On May, 20 we will be heading to Duncan Knob, an 8.0-mile hike in the heart of George Washington National Forest that will provide stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the lesser-known Middle Mountain. The hike is a moderately-strenuous hike, with a 2,240 feet vertical rise and will take approximately 6-7 hours (with some pit-stops and breaks included).
We are organizing a carpool, which will meet at the VT/UVA Center in Falls Church (the overflow lot for the West Falls Church metro station.)
Please register at the link above and we will contact you with carpooling details. For further information, please contact Christine at hike@dchoos.org.
