Have you always wanted to throw your own dinner party? Well UVA alumni will have the opportunity to attend a cooking class at Company's Coming which will not only teach you how to cook, but also how to entertain. Company's Coming's motto is "If there is one thing all food lovers know it is that a good day can be made even better by the enjoyment of a pleasurable meal." At Company's Coming, Instructors Jinny and Bob will teach you how to create a delicious meal. They using a hand-on approach and everyone will participate in preparing the meal. After the meal is prepared, you will sit down with the group to enjoy the meal together. It doesn't matter whether you are a novice, an experienced cook or a lapsed cook. You will learn to cook better with new skills as you gain an appreciation for new flavors. Their recipes specialize in appetizing, fresh and healthy foods that are easy to prepare!
In this class, Tastes of Tapas will give you an opportunity to learn how to cook a sampling five small plates from a Spanish Summer.
The menu will include:
white wine sangria
sizzling shrimp
pork tenderloin with a mustard rub
spicy potatoes
red pepper omelet
seasonal dessert
At the end of the class, you will sit down to dinner and get to taste the fruits of your labors. Red and white Spanish wine will be served with dinner. The food and wine are included in the cost of the class. What better way is there to celebrate summertime?
The class size will be limited to 16 people. Please contact Caroline at cookingclass@dchoos.org if you have any questions.
