The chill of fall weather is in the air, and the holidays are just around the corner! Join your fellow DC Hoos for the classic Charles Dickens’ story of “A Christmas Carol” at historic Ford’s Theatre. We’ve reserved premium orchestra seats exclusively for UVA alumni and guests at a special group rate, and for those who want to start the merriment even earlier, we’ve made arrangements for a fabulous pre-show dinner (tickets offered separately) at Bistro d’Oc located right across from the theatre.

Come revel in the holiday spirit as Scrooge and Tiny Tim bid good cheer to all in this inspirational tale of selfishness-turned-generosity. "A Christmas Carol," created by Matt August and adapted by Michael Wilson, is a perennial favorite at Ford’s Theatre, a national historic and cultural site.

The UVA Alumni Club of Washington invites you to join us for a festive pre-theatre dinner as we "eat, drink, and be merry!" on Sunday, December 10th. We have reserved a cozy private dining room for a Cavalier evening at Bistro d’Oc, a family owned French bistro conveniently located right across Tenth Street from Ford's Theatre.

We will enjoy a delicious fixed price, three course meal consisting of soup or salad, a main entree, dessert, and a complementary glass of wine. The pre-theatre dinner is $29 per person including tax and tip, and for the convenience of all attendees, additional beverages will be charged separately.

Bistro d’Oc specializes in Languedoc cuisine from the south of France and according to the Washington Post, "Bistro d'Oc is a fine choice for mostly authentic French fare. The restaurant serves a pre and post-theater menu…that is one of the city's best deals." UVA alumni are invited to join us for both dinner and the theatre, but tickets can be purchased separately for each event.
