Tour the largest library in the world and the nation's oldest federal cultural institution, guided by DC Wahoo mom, Anne Foster. Mrs. Foster is an LOC docent and has arranged a private tour for the UVA Club of Washington. The tour takes place in the Thomas Jefferson Building and highlights the Library's history, world renowned architecture and artwork, and service to Congress and the nation. We will also be able to customize parts of the tour to our specific interests and questions.
The tour begins promptly at 3:30, but please arrive by 3:15 to make it through security in time. Meet at the Information Desk. There are interesting exhibits that you can peruse while waiting for the tour to begin.
Parking ranges from extremely limited to non-existent. We strongly encourage taking Metro's Orange/Blue line to the Capitol South station. The Library Of Congress website provides detailed directions.
