Have you (and your new UVA diploma) just recently moved into the DC area? Come join the UVA Club of Washington for a "Welcome to DC" dinner and monuments tour! Meet other DC Hoos who've just moved into the neighborhood while enjoying good, inexpensive food at Elephant & Castle, a fun British pub just steps from downtown and the National Mall. As a special highlight, we've arranged a guided private walking tour of the D.C. monuments as a post-dinner activity. The group will begin to gather at 6:30 pm (drinks at the bar) and we'll be seated for dinner at 7:00 pm. (Dutch treat dinner; cost approx $15-20.) The free walking tour will begin at 8:30 pm as our tour guide will meet us in front of the restaurant. Come join us for all or part of the evening. Meet new friends, come see the monuments, and hear some cool facts about how UVA grads have been making their mark in the nation's capital!
