The level of your golf game doesn't matter. This is an event you want to attend if you want to learn how to play golf, play more golf, or get to know other UVA golfers!
Golf clubs will be provided free at this event if you don't have your own. Wear comfortable shoes like running shoes. Beginners will participate in a clinic to learn how to play golf. Basics on set up and swing will be taught in this clinic. The beginners will later join other golfers on the bay to hit balls and also compete for prizes with other beginners. This is a good opportunity to meet others at your level with whom you can practice, with whom you can learn to play golf by taking lessons, or with whom you can go on the range in the future.
People who already know golf basics will play on the bays and will also be part of a fun competition. Top Golf balls have chips in their balls so you get points for hitting certain targets.
Check out their website and you can also see their range target set up. Playing golf here is like a bowling format. On a bay, up to 5 players will be playing with you.
All attendees will leave with a top golf game on their card which they can use again later. This is a good opportunity to network and use the game on your card to play again with golfers whom you want to know more. 10% discount on private lessons will be offered too. Information on getting into golf, clinics and lessons will be provided to improve your game.
Schedule:
Be on time so we are able to organize into groups.
- 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM - Registration
- 10:00 AM - Beginners go to their clinic first and will then come out on the bay to join the group. Intermediate and advance go on the bay.
- 11:45 AM - Give out prizes
- Noon - Event ends
Categories:
- Beginner - Never played golf before or need to learn the basics
- Intermediate - Some familiarity with the game. Know how to take some swings. Have played on course before or practiced on range.
- Advanced - Have a handicap or can take descent swing shots and frequently play on the course
Range has several food menu options to enjoy while playing or have lunch at noon. Beers start from $3. Also coffee and other soft beverages are available.
Register to come out and meet UVA Golfers and their guests, with whom you can connect and play more golf on courses or ranges in the future.
