The UVA book club meets once a month, usually on the second Monday of the month. Typically, there are five to ten people at a meeting and the book discussion lasts for an hour to an hour-and-a-half. No need to be an English Literature major to participate. Anyone who enjoys reading is welcome.
There is no specific theme to the books we select to read. At the end of each meeting, people propose books that they are interested in and we take a vote. Most of our selections fall into the popular modern fiction category, but we have read classics and non-fiction as well. See below for our current book and the books we have read.
